Linda B. Blevins – Ministry Background
“I have a passion for encouraging women to become mature Christians, who know and love the Word of God. Jesus provided the model for this ministry, through loving and leading his followers to become disciples in heart, soul, mind and spirit.” Linda Blevins
“I am very blessed to have had some passionate and gifted Christian women leaders in my life who have not only discipled me, but opened the door for widespread ministry opportunities. Between them and Godly pastors, I am in awe of the teaching God has provided.
My life drastically changed in late 1999 with a spinal cord injury that left me in a semi-disabled state. I have had to scale back what I love to do, to manage chronic pain. However – God has taught me so many new things I probably never would have learned, by going through this process, and I am grateful for that deeper understanding.”
Linda met the Lord Jesus at the age of 18, and life has been a creative adventure of learning & growing ever since. She was part of the Jesus Movement Revival in the early 1970’s, learning street evangelism and discipleship. During her college years, she served as a youth pastor and home missionary – planting churches with her husband. As children came along, Linda’s heart was drawn to a ministry for women, and has focused on this since 1978. Through the years, she has been on staff at several churches, small and large, as the Women’s Ministry director and Evangelism director. As a missionary with O.C. International, Linda conducted training programs for missionaries and churches for leadership development, women’s ministry, church growth and mass evangelism. Linda also served as the Director for the support and training organization ‘Silicon Valley Women’s Ministry Directors’, and developed the ArtReach evangelism program. She is ordained by the Center for the Study of Biblical Research. Linda credits her ministry to the unshakable love and direction from her Heavenly Father, and the many Godly women (and men) who have helped to mold and disciple her.
Linda is also a lifelong, award winning fine artist, art instructor, and often uses this gift in her lively speaking presentations. Linda continues to paint, sing and play keyboard for worship, and especially enjoys being a part of the families of her three married sons and their wives, wonderful twelve grandchildren, and two great grandchildren!
